habbitus

...
lalu anak anak kecil berlarian
dan orangtua mulai berdatangan
kata mereka,
"jangan lari di koridor!"
ah, biar saja.
"weeek!"
lalu terjatuh.
diam.
tak bergerak.
ibu - ibu berteriak.
anak - anak kecil menangis.
bapak - bapak berlarian
lalu samar,
pelan,
hilang,
gelap.

a camping story

ahh, my old..dusty rusty chit - chat page..

been a long time since i put my interest in this writing thingy. a without-followers media to proclaim myself and speak out what's on my (complicated) mind. it almost feels like i'm talking to myself, rather sad actually. anyway..........

gaya banget yak pake ng-english segala? hahaha.

soo, first time in this past months i met this bule  from U.K named ashley. i think shes older than me (of course!), not to mention her looks and speaking style that sound so mature for me. i was hesitate to ask how old is she because i heard its some kind of privacy to ask about someone's age (women especially).

we were camping out in Jembatan Babarsari with my Mapala friends the other day, she's one of my friends' friend. she work in some animal rescue unit (i forgot the name) in yogyakarta. her Bahasa is pretty good. she said that she learned Bahasa from the volunteers in her workplace.

one thing that got me laughed was this one..
we sang along and chit chatted in front of bonfire that night, then one of my friend put out his alcohol (common tradition for Mapala to drink and sing along when hangs out together) from his bag. first round is a drink called voci, vodka mixed with lychee juice. okay she drinks, fine. i thoughts that's a common thing for bule to drink alcohol (now this is stereotype!).

then its getting interesting, my other friend put out the traditional javanese alcohol called Ciu. an highly concentrated alcohol made from distillation of sugarcane plant (tanaman tebu). i, of course, offered ashley the Ciu. it was just for intermezzo actually, but unexpectedly she was agreed! afraid of her might not like the drinks,  i gave her only one shot of ciu. yeah, because i thought it was strange for her and there's a possibility she won't like it.

then again, unexpectedly, out of the blue, she was ask for more! and this time she said it with bahasa!! "boleh saya minta lagi?.." she said innocently while handed over the 'sloki' glass..
we just like,
whoa dudes!! look at her! heard what she said???

we were shocked.

because we never expect and it was never, ever, ever crossed our minds that she would like the Ciu drinks.
aaaaand of course we gave her what her asked immediately.. lol.
after one or two songs, i asked her curiously why'd she likes it and how it tasted for her.

we were shocked once again when she said;

"of course i like it, it taste just like an italian liquor! i used to work in spain and italy. so i like it. it tastes almost the same."

we were like,
italy?? italian liquor????

and then i immediately knew it,
for my very first time ever in my existence...

bule juga suka ciu.
